PAX Pack coming to Rock Band

Next week, Rock Band is coming out with a PAX pack of songs from artists playing at PAX this year. The pack includes:

+ "Skullcrusher Mountain" - Jonathan Coulton.
+ "Livin' on the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe" - MC Frontalot.
+ "Shhh…." - the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.

The pack is 240MS points, or $3. All of the tracks are master recordings, and the song by the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets is a previously unreleased track. And, if that wasn't enough, all of the proceeds from the sales are going to Child's Play.

ROCK BAND BRINGS LOCKSLEY TRACKS TO DOWNLOADABLE MUSIC STORE CATALOGUE


Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of up and coming rock band Locksley to the Rock Band™ Music Store catalog of downloadable content. Recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the “25 Best Bands on MySpace,” the Brooklyn-based Locksley contributes a 3-pack of songs from their 2007 album Don’t Make Me Wait including title track “Don’t Make Me Wait,” “All Over Again,” and “She Does.”

Each track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for one month or the 3-pack for $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for one month. Prices good until September 29, 2008, when they return to the regular price point of $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track or the 3-pack for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360).

Rock Band 2 to get 6 full albums for DLC in the "coming months"


Harmonix and MTV games have announced six full albums to be released for the game in the "coming months". This round of full albums will include the following........

Foo Fighters-"The Colour and the Shape"
Red Hot Chili Peppers-"Blood Sugar Sex Magik"
Jane's Addiction-"Nothing's Shocking"
Megadeth-'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying"
Stevie Ray Vaughan-"Texas Flood"
and a No Doubt best of has been announced as well.

Rush's Moving Pictures delayed for Rock Band DLC

Rush's Moving Pictures was supposed to come out this week. But, in the Rock Band forums, they announced that it wouldn't be coming out for the 360 or the PS3, due to "technical difficulties".

They say that the "technical difficulties" are so bad, that they might not be able to get the album out for a couple of weeks.

On Tuesday, these songs are coming out for Rock Band. All of them are 160 MS points each, besides the song by the Janitors, which is 80 MS points:

Roadrunner Rock Band pack released today


Today, a pack of songs from the Roadrunner record label have been released on Rock Band. You can buy the tracks individually for 80 MS points each, or buy the pack of six for 480, under Roadrunner Records Pack 01.
