Ok,I have been wanting to do this for a while so let's do it! As I am sure all of you Xbox 360 enthusiasts know, the Xbox 360 has most likely hit the "half way point" in it's life cycle. The original Xbox definitely did not have that much of a life span but that doesn't seem to be the case with the Xbox 360. Hardware wise, the Xbox 360 is definitely fit for the long haul, having graphical capabilities that still have not been maxed out as of yet.
The console did not have that much of a launch outside of Call of Duty 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3. The rest of the line-up suffered from obvious sloppiness from developers that was the result of the games being rushed to meet the launch date. This worried alot of gamers that shelled out the big bucks to get the 360 on day 1. As the days went on though, the games fortunately got better. We saw titles such as Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter,Rainbow Six Vegas which both now have sequels, and the ever popular Gears of War. It seemed that with every generation of games that came out,the visuals and technicality of each game got better and more advanced.
Now with titles such as Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3 on the horizon, this further proves the fact that the games still have not reached the visual peak of the Xbox 360. Gears of War 2 takes what the first game did and multiplies it by what seems to be by four and Fallout 3 comes to us from the developers of Oblivion, which blew Xbox 360 owners away two years ago. What is in the more distant future for us Xbox 360 fans? Bungie, the studio behind the Halo series has already said they are at work at three different projects and games that feature massively multiplayer features like Huxley will push the Xbox LIVE service to it's limits. So with that being said, all I can say is be excited Xbox 360 gamers,be excited, because the future for the white box from Microsoft will definitely be a big one!
